For this project, Blum invited four actresses to audition for a role based on herself. Each actress received her own character profile based on a different aspect of Blum’s personality. During the interviews, the actresses’ facial features were scanned and replaced with Blum’s features, using Deep-Fake technology. The video installation reveals part of the scanning process and demonstrates the unimaginable ease with which one can steal an identity, fabricate documentation, and disseminate an image.
